Viva La Revolución

Was very happy to find my copy of Shiva in Exile's Nour album in the mail today (I was expecting it later this week!). Shiva in Exile has been my favorite band for a few months now (and was one of the breadcrumbs for the whole Shiva = Spike thing), and after learning that the composer - Stefan Hertrich - was having difficulties with selling albums, I went ahead and purchased a copy of Nour, which is my favorite compared to his first album, Ethnic.

Those who are part of my livestream sessions are probably very familiar with Shiva in Exile. It's very inspiring for me, especially when I'm writing. But it just resonates very strongly with me in general, because of its Middle Eastern/desert flavors; I'm very drawn to those types of cultures, so "stumbling" across Shiva in Exile was quite the pleasant surprise. And I'm quite picky when it comes to music (or anything else, for that matter), so it's rare for me to enjoy an entire album.  But Stefan Hertrich won me over.

In other news, I also purchased a fresh journal to use as a collective source of spiritual information. If anyone watches Supernatural, it's going to be similar to John's journal... just less "demonic." Haha. I wanted it to be leather-bound, but I had a hard time finding exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price. Wasn't quite in the mood to spend $20-30 on a single (small) journal... so I settled for an $8 soft-cover sketchbook. I'll be keeping all my research on various aspects of spirituality in it - like stuff I resonate with. Religions, crystals, astrology, chakras, kundalini, and so on.

Other than that, not much else "big" has happened. My dreams have been ordinary, and are based on things I've been encountering or thinking about, such as wisdom teeth, writing stuff, school, and Johann-Pierre. I'm down to six weeks of school left. 24 days.

i was looking back through my journal for a post I wrote for VotS, and I came across the annual card reading I did for myself back in March. For August, I had received the cards Oceanus and Topaz. Oceanus is the Titan associated with the ocean, while topaz is associated with joy and creativity. Although topaz wasn't quite accurate, Oceanus sure was... since I associate the ocean with big situations, sea of possibilities, mysteries, being washed away by waves, that kind of thing. For September, the cards predicted eagerness, or wanting to set things into motion, and intuitive improvement. Yeah, that was pretty much right. And for October... I can expect some big changes, as well as possibly dealing with fears.

I'll be keeping an eye on the end of October, what with another "power period" popping up then. But November and December is looking good for me. Fresh starts and opening up to higher potential in November, and lots of abundance in December. And what's cool is that my significator for this reading put an emphasis on "mastery of psychic awareness." That's been pretty accurate so far.

I've been working on attracting high-vibe friends. Started a few days ago. Also, I've been keeping an eye on opportunities to work with other spiritually-inclined people in my area, since I've never talked to anyone face-to-face about this stuff. I kinda wished I lived a bit farther north so that I could visit my favorite spiritual shop more often and take part in the events and workshops they hold there. Hmm...

In honor of Nour, I shall end this with my favorite SiE song, "We're All One":

  1. That's kuul about the journal. I'm wanting to make something like that, but for the different kinds of tarot spreads that I like. And random bits of info on the different cards.

I really liked the Supernatural show too, but had to stop watching it shortly after getting up to season 6 no Netflix. I just can't handle how they're portraying the Angels :( I know so many Archangels and they're NOT like that at all. So it just kind of breaks my heart seeing the way they're written.

    Kuul music by the way.
