House 3 - Self-expression & Siblings
This alignment wasn't as much of a surprise, although once again, I feel like another archetype could've better suited this house. I still trust the alignments that have been given to me, though, so I trust Seeker is the best fit for the way I express myself.
When I think about it, it is true. Although Seeker extends into other areas of my life, I express myself as wanting to know more, wanting to delve into the mysteries of the world in my pursuit of knowing what life is and how to make the most of it. I am a Seeker in that I pursue such mysteries - though ultimately, I pursue spirit, or Source. I try to find Source; I try to understand how and why it manifests the way it does. I try to understand how I can best live my life under its guidance.
Caroline Myss describes House 3 as the one in which you express what you are and what you hold dear in life. It's the house that gives you a voice in the world - it reveals how you direct your energy and put it in motion. It influences the choices you make. Its challenge is therefore to become conscious of your thoughts and motivations.
She also describes Seeker as someone who is on a path that may initially begin with earthly curiosity, but has the Divine - or enlightenment - at its core. In Shadow, the Seeker may feel lost or directionless.
This is definitely me. I've been feeling directionless for months now - all because my search for Source, for meaning, for purpose, has come to a standstill. I want to express the wisdom and truths I've discovered, but right now, I don't even know which truths resonate with me most. So I'm stuck in this hole, trying to work through my issues while simultaneously trying to start moving on my path again - seeking Source.
Seeker is a nice fit for this house because it directs so many aspects of my sense of self-expression: creativity, relationships/friendships, career, spirituality, and so on. I have to remember that self-expression is more than just what you see on the outside; it's more than creativity. So yes - Seeker's place is definitely in House 3.
