House 2 - Shapeshifter

"He That Dances" - by Lucas Aguirre
House 2 - Life Values

Shapeshifter landing in this house was also an interesting surprise. I didn't think the Shapeshifter energy made itself known primarily through what I most hold dear - and I even struggled a little trying to reflect on how I've been a Shapeshifter in this department. I'm fully aware of my Shapeshifter energy in other areas, such as relationships/meeting people, or even when it comes to spirituality... so this one took a bit of thinking.

House 2 represents what you most value or hold dear, and reflects which objects/energy you associate with earthly power. It also represents your appreciation for the physical nature of life - what you need most to feel grounded in the world.

I concluded that the Shapeshifter energy often changes what I most value, depending on where I am in life, or what I need to be at a given time. I most value the energy of the spiritual, of dreams, and of the various states of consciousness (traditional associations for Shapeshifters, especially in shamanic cultures), as well as the ability to move freely between these dimensions.

Spiritual connections are what I most hold dear. It's hard for me to feel grounded without such connections - without dreams and freedom and flexibility available to me. In fact, freedom is an important term here; it may be why Shapeshifter manifested in House 2 to begin with. Although I do hold spiritual connections dear, I believe what I value most of all in my sense of earthly power is freedom. Shapeshifter allows me to roam, to change, to evolve, and ultimately, to experience. I would be quite miserable if I didn't have Shapeshifter pushing me to be myself - to break out of society's firm, indoctrinating grip.

In Shadow, I may often feel lost or uncertain when it comes to my values. I may become aggressive or assertive or angry with the world for trying to suffocate and belittle me. I may become restless, or even depressed. I may lose sight of who I truly am.

I'm glad to have Shapeshifter on my team.
